Incorporated in 1975, Martin Engineering is headquartered in White Rock, South Carolina. From its beginning, the company has been located in a restored barn built in 1883.  In recent years Martin Engineering, Inc. has expanded into two vintage railroad cabooses and the original farm house also built in 1883. Martin Engineering is a commercial General Contracting firm that specializes in the building and renovations of schools, and enjoys a reputation as one of the premier builders in South Carolina.  Martin Engineering has been recognized as one of the top 100 privately owned companies in South Carolina for the past 16 years, as published by Grant Thornton. Martin Engineering is a large company but operating still with small family values.

The majority of the home office personnel have been employed with the company in excess of ten years. Martin Engineering has always been committed to its best asset, its employees, and this is evident by the long-term employees dedicated to their work. The company has a strong tradition of integrity, efficiency, preparedness and excellent employee relations. Mac Martin built the company with a "hands on" approach of doing business.  Although he passed away in 2005, the company continues operating under the values and reputation he instilled.  In addition to Mrs. Martin the CEO, the staff includes a President, Vice President of Field Operations, a Vice President of Administrative Operations, a Comptroller, an Estimator, three Project Managers, a Contract Administrator, Human Resource Administrator,  and an Executive Assistant.  We strive to keep the lines of communication open both internally as well as with our clients.

To achieve these goals, Martin Engineering employs quality Superintendents to handle the work in the field and Project Managers who visit the sites consistently to see that any problem areas are addressed. The Vice Presidents of Field & Administrative Operations, Jim Royster and Tom Morey,  offer their extensive knowledge to the Superintendents, Project Managers, and Office Staff who work closely with Architects and Owners to address any concerns to insure that quality standards are being achieved.
